Stonework
We offer private persons and companies stonework, both indoors and outdoors. We mainly work with natural stone but also work with concrete paving stone like slabs. Skånesten offer all types of stonework outdoors like stone veneering, open fireplaces, paving stone such as slabs, tiles and belgian block, stairs of different types of stones and various curb stones. We offer all types of stonework indoors like floors, stone veneering, open fireplaces, countertops, window sills and bathrooms.
We work with limestone, slate, marble, sandstone and granite and various artificial paving stone made by concrete. We also work with different types of tiles like porcelain tiles.
Restauration
As part of our main business model, stonework, we have often found ourselves working on historical buildings like castles, mansions, churches and other buildings with significant cultural heritage. In the beginning we only did stone related work on historical buildings BUT over the past years as our company grew and our skills evolved we now do complete restorations of old historical buildings. We do all types of stonework, grouting, masonry, fasad repairs, fine carpentry. For the parts that WE do not do, we have an extensive address book with reliable and competent sub contractors that we use.
Landscaping
Skånesten performs all types of landscaping. Together with our stone workers and subcontractors, we undertake turnkey construction contracts. Our machine operators are also stoneworkers, which facilitates the work process. It is quite common for challenges to arise between machinists/construction workers and stoneworkers. Cooperation is extremely important for the work to continue without obstacles. By offering this service, the work is further streamlined and quality assured, as a construction worker with good knowledge of stonework can oversee the entire work from start to finish, thus avoiding unnecessary time gaps and inadequate work performance.
Skånesten digs, excavates, drains and removes material and is responsible for other preparations. We deliver material and have the necessary machinery for the assignment. We undertake larger assignments from companies and industry, but also smaller private construction projects.
Skånesten works based on the guidelines set out in AMA (General Material and Work Description). AMA is a reference work that describes how to build and which materials to use to achieve good quality. AMA ensures that the work is carried out professionally and the technical documents are considered proven technology. Dimension stone
We supply all materials and provide the necessary machinery for the purpose. Regardless of whether it is a large contract such as the expansion/extension of squares, roads or shared-use path, new production of industrial properties or housing or smaller contracts for private homes, Skånesten can supply all materials for the project. Both indoors and outdoors.
We supply all types of stone according to customer requirements. We cooperate with a number of different quarries, which makes it possible for us to supply custom-made stone according to customer requirements. We also undertake to manufacture complicated natural stone products such as replicas of, among other things, cladding stone for facades on historical buildings. Skånesten can also supply used paving stones, like belgian block (sett).

This dry stone wall was built with hand-picked fieldstone from a quarry, in 2016. The two walls are about 130 feet and it is located at Stall Torshult. A dry stone wall is a wall constructed without mortar to bind the stones together. Carefully selected stones and gravity does that job.
On behalf of Peab Anläggning, we built an amphitheater of concrete blocks and slabs at Sandeplanskolan in Höllviken, in 2019. The amphitheater is part of a larger water diversion project due to occasional heavy rains. The theater is expected to be filled with water every ten years.
In 2022 Skånesten built a patio off concrete paving stone at Vegeholm Castle outise Ängelholm in Sweden.
In 2022 Skånesten restored the fasad on the historical building ”Geuka-huset”. Stone Veneer installation was made on the fasad.
